I had a meeting with a company this week that promotes crypto as a predictable, lower-risk, passive investment. I chose not to participate yet, but here are some of the things I liked and disliked about the company being represented:

Likes

1. With the bot losses still recent and the futures program not fully cooperating, I need to find another source of monthly passive income. On the surface, this looks good. Besides the lower-risk crypto gaining in value, the crypto can also be farmed..? I didn’t pick up all of the details, but it provided an additional way of making an income.
2. If an ROI of 50-100% were chosen, I was being told this was a very reasonable expectation. Some crypto investments might make higher returns and some make lower. This range was being promoted as very realistic…possibly conservative.
3. Do to my concerns about the fees, they did offer me a couple of payment options. I chose not to accept their offer, but that doesn’t deny their willingness to try.

Dislikes

1. The person I spoke to and the “crypto mastermind” have limited social media presence. What I did find didn’t scream, “I was born to do crypto, and you must trust me.”
2. The “mastermind” has made a few videos showing what he does when he works with his new crypto-recruits. With the amount of info provided in his videos, his “one-time” fee seemed excessive to connect the small gaps unaddressed in the videos.
3. I am part of a couple of investment groups. (e.g. EFX, NURP, and University of Options) I have had enough bad experiences with trusted vendors. It seems crazy to pay a fee to a company who I contacted after they showed up on my Facebook feed. I gained knowledge. I didn’t gain confidence.

This is my second look at crypto. The first one involved so many pieces with no TrustPilot reviews. (At least not at that time.) This crypto opportunity seemed more inline with my investment style, but it was not from a vendor with a proven record. Maybe three is a charm, and the next one will be “just right.”
