I didn’t start out in crypto, algorithmic trading, or bots.
Like most people who end up here, I hopped across a few lily pads first.
Over the years, I’ve built and worked in a range of businesses—supplying backroom products to national retailers, running niche eBay stores, developing LED products, managing domain-based ecommerce, and consulting across a handful of industries. Along the way, my kids got involved, plans were made (and sometimes shelved), and I learned a lot about risk, margins, and what actually holds up over time.
Today, my primary focus is writing.
I write educational blog posts and email courses about long-term, risk-aware crypto investing—with a clear bias toward calmer strategies, passive income, and learning from real outcomes instead of perfect theories. I also ghostwrite for others in the space who want to educate their audiences without turning investing into a spectator sport.
In late summer of 2023, I began experimenting seriously with algorithmic trading and crypto strategies—first through forex bots, then through diversification across multiple tools, providers, and eventually crypto and futures. Some strategies worked beautifully… until they didn’t. Others surprised me by surviving rough conditions better than expected. The second half of 2024 tested both my patience and my assumptions, but not enough to make me walk away.
This blog exists to document that journey honestly.
I share what works, what fails, and what I wouldn’t touch again. If I wouldn’t invest in something twice, I won’t recommend it to anyone else. The goal isn’t hype or conversion at any cost—it’s clarity.
These days, when I’m not writing, I’m babysitting my granddaughter, helping manage the lives of a couple of junior hockey players, and using AI tools to sharpen my thinking, structure, and creativity.
