Fighting For Its Life

I don’t know if my Aviator bot got the word, but it is one mistake away from retirement. When I peeked at it last night, it had over $6,000 in drawdown. (This is almost 20% of the account’s value. Once it hits 35%, its future becomes bleak.) I do understand the bot’s challenge. It follows only three Forex pairs. It can quickly get caught up in the three currencies involved: AUD, CAD, and NZD.

Regardless of its dilemma, it might just know it is one mistake from being put on ice. When other bots are consistent, it is hard to trust a bot like Aviator, which can win one month and lose big the next. The relationship with the bot is based on reliability. If it can’t deliver that, it doesn’t matter if it performs one month. I need tractors that harvest a predictable amount of crops every month. If Aviator wants to be the first bot to be “permanently retired,” it just needs to stumble again…

A 5.4 lot was added to the AUDNZD trades this morning. I hope it turns things around. The early June loss was partially my fault. If this bot hits the MAX drawdown, then it will be entirely the bots fault.
