Going into spring and planting season, I have leased some new equipment to see if I can raise my yields. I would love to see some high yields. But, I will not ignore consistency if that is all this piece of equipment/bot can produce. It must cover the monthly costs to stay on the farm very long.
With almost exactly one week of trading under its belt, Odyssey is up 0.48%. I don’t state this to brag. I state it as fact. Over the year, it would not blow away every investment available. As I look at my Octane bot and other sources, it seems like a tough FOREX trading market. But, with algo trading bots, results can vary.

As I have reloaded my browser a few times over the past week and looked at my Odyssey dashboard, it is a different experience than previous bot-peeking.
Observations
- I no longer need a VPS to run my NURP bot, NURP (and EFX, too) now provides a “copy trader” for each user account. Each trade can be compared to the Master account. As I understand it, the only difference should be the size of the lot traded. All accounts should enter into trades on the same FOREX pairs.
- It takes many, many trades. As I write this, Odyssey has closed 206 trades in its first week.
- Most of the trades are 0.01 of a lot. One trade was as big as 0.22 of a lot.
- I did find out today that US-based brokers are not able to hedge trades. The trades need to close in a FIFO method. I don’t know what this fully entails. I do see my growth % varying considerably. The growth is at a high before dropping a few points quickly. The non-US, 1:200 leverage or greater bots handle these trading issues differently.
- There is an AI-component to this bot. I am not wise enough to know what impact that has on its trades. Does it know what pairs often move together and take complementary positions?
- Both NURP and EFX have limited their non-US bots to trade less than 20 FOREX pairs. The Odyssey bot can trade up to 80 different FOREX pairs.

I will keep monitoring the progress of this bot. If I observe anything interesting, I will share. I hope I am not the only one it is of interest to. 🙂
