Looking Beyond My Crypto Mistakes

If you are going to play in the crypto liquidity pool, you need to accept that you can get very wet. Early on, you may be drowned if you don’t have good guidance and know someone with wise words. While the “red” on the chart may look unchanged, it is the green I continue to be optimistic about.

With crypto you don’t have to wait very long to see changes. The RED’s have gone deeper, and there are a couple of new characters in today’s holdings.

  1. PENDLE/USDT
    • It has moved farther out of range. (The little yellow spot to the left on the top line.) The farther to the left it goes the bigger the red grows.
    • Still waiting for a better opportunity OR a strong move to the right when the yellow dot is back in range.
  2. MAGIC/ETH
    • This one, I hope, is the biggest crypto teacher I ever work with. It has taught me the importance of not jumping in too quickly. I need to let the “test period” run before believing my test position is successful.
    • As with PENDLE, a move to the right will cause me to sell this position or reconsider long-term options. The RED numbers are actual losses. If the losses persist for too long, I must consider eating the loss. I need to learn to use caution to my advantage.
  3. AIXBT/USDC
    • My guru would have probably given me a couple of reasons to avoid this one.
    • The pair does not have too many months of history. Am I jumping in too quickly? Should I watch it longer to see if its chart shows more predictability? I am experimenting. Since it is a test position, that is what it is there for.
  4. VIRTUAL/ETH
    • This one also has a short history. The guru told me, “Give it a try.” We will see what happens when we meet next week.
  5. POL/USDC
    • The original purpose of this liquidity pool was to prove I could bridge money to a different network. With that accomplished, I am letting it make what earnings it can until something else comes along.

As I continue down this road, I must be reminded that buying a new position is not always the best option. Sometimes, ongoing research will allow you to be ready when the right opportunity comes.
