Once I committed to this Crypto Mastermind program, it took 2 days until I had my first meeting. I didn’t know what to expect! I was anxious to learn, but concerned about my crypto ignorance. Fortunately, the first meeting was more administrative than knowledge dumping. Most of what took place was LOTS of new bookmarks being added to my browser. (While on the Zoom call, I did allow the expert access to my computer to add them.)

At the end of the call, I was given some MUST DO and some OPTIONAL homework before our next call.
- Sign up for Kraken account: I tried to do this in the spring when I was trying to use my LLC on the account. That was a difficult process. Setting the account up personally went VERY smoothly. When setting up the account, it is important the name on the account matches the name on the bank account you are going to use.
- Sign up for the Coinbase account: I don’t believe I provided an ID for Coinbase. I recall providing the last 4 digits of my SSN for one of them. I believe it was this one.
- Wire money to Kraken: This was done through Plaid. Very simple and easy.
- Optional: Buy a Crypto wallet. As time permits, he will help me set it up during a future meeting.
- Watch Mastermind Videos: There are curated videos within the Mastermind. I will watch them as time permits.
What impressed me on the first night:
- The pace was slow. My appetite was whetted but I wasn’t forced to dine at the buffet. I snacked on little hors d’oeuvre as I was able.
- One of the above links is specifically designed to track your wallet for tax purposes. With a wife involved with anti-money laundering activities, this is a nice thing to have included. Frankly, it gives a greater feeling of legitimacy to what they are doing.
