SEO Websites As Passive Income

Since I am seeking other passive investment options, I knew I had to get the ideas somewhere. I am reluctant to reach out to companies on Facebook. I have no shortage of “sponsored” links to pursue while looking through my feed. My feed has been full of “ATN Unlimited” links the past few days. I did a little digging to find out what their passive income program looks like.

[I have not spoken to them directly. This information came from this Reddit post.]

ATN Unlimited and another similar program being promoted by the writer of the Reddit post, involve creating traffic for specific niches. This traffic is then directed to websites that will benefit from this traffic. The monthly income comes from renting out this traffic to the receiving website.

I don’t know the cost of either program, but I know a few things about SEO. In the past, I paid someone on eBay to create a niche website for me. The content from my website was “scraped” from other websites. Over time, my website ranked high enough on a few keywords that I was able to make Adwords income off of this traffic. Unfortunately, Google made changes to their algorithms. What was once a $400/month income dried up into nothing.

I don’t fully trust Google. If an income stream grows large enough, Google will find a way to tap it. If you want to build a business that relies on selling the fruit of your SEO labor, realize you may need to be nimble. As changes take place, your SEO strategies will need to adjust as Google seeks out additional ways to raise their search engine profits.

I was informed the Reddit post may have had some inaccurate information. Thus, the premise of my post would have been incorrect.
The primary role of ATN Unlimited is offering a “pooled” Forex trading account. Your monthly gains are determined by your amount of funds in the pool. Since I already have a forex trading bot I am happy with, ATN wouldn’t seem to be a fit for me.
