Dalio Playing From Behind

Overnight, NURP got Dalio back up and running. I don’t know if we will ever get the full answer regarding the problem or the truth regarding the solution. (i.e., Did they entirely swap out the old EXPERT file because it was flawed? Did they tame the bot’s aggressiveness because it was running rampant and frightening people?) I don’t know what they did. My concern is whether Dalio can clear out the open trades after the various Forex pairs have peaked and reversed. As stated, Dalio is starting from behind. (See Tale of Two Bots)

The oldest open trade is from June 7th. The largest open negative trade is near $2,000. How long will it take to bring the drawdown into its promised range comfortably? (When I signed up for this bot, they claimed 15% should be a safe MAX drawdown.) With a drawdown of $25,000 on an account approaching $200,000, it is certainly a double-digit drawdown now.

All the numbers on the right show where Dalio is behind on the trades. If it had not been temporarily incapacitated, it might have easily gotten out of these trades. With much of the volatility gone, it will take some work and patience to get out of these trades now. (I think, but I am not an expert trading bot.)

I am not holding my breath and waiting for NURP to waive the monthly software fee. I was hoping to tweak the bot to be less aggressive. That is still my goal, but it seems it has been delayed by a few weeks. It appears I need to have something to continue to write about…
