I keep rooting for my demo account! I know it wants to do better, but the hole may be too deep.

While it has made nearly 12%, only a person with nerves of steel would be able to survive this level of drawdown. (If all the trades were closed, the account would be worth less than $51,000.) Even if I could tolerate this drawdown, my wife would not stomach it. Blowing the account or suffering the loss–I couldn’t win with her.

I am still cheering for this account’s success. Even if the money is phony, I would still like to see it grow. If it fails, I continue to be grateful for the algo trading bot choices I have made with my “real” money.

Have you had a bad experience with a bot? I would love to hear about it. I don’t have to have had the experience to warn others via this blog.
