Glad My Farm Has Multiple Tractors…

Did I say tractor? I meant another trading bot. I do like the metaphor though. If you are going to have a “bot farm”, you will get tired of saying bot-this and bot-that. If I slip into farmer-bot mode and talk about my bushel yield per account, I hope you will forgive me. 😉

Thanks to the success of the Precision bot wrangling in all of those gold trades, I am feeling lucky. I am not dwelling on my Octane bot getting bogged down in the USDCHF trades.

I thought the trades might turn around this morning, but the market turned back the other direction. The swap fees continue to grow regardless of the direction of the trades. I don’t anticipate the bot opening up another trade on this pair, but it might.

Why do I point out the continued open trades on the Octane bot? The Octane bot does continue to open and close trades. (Octane is tolerating the interruption to its regularly scheduled trading, too.) In its effort to protect my account, it has slowed down taking on new trades. It does continue to make a few hundred dollars a week, but it is behind last months numbers. I should be sad, right? Not at all!

Right now, I am above last month’s earnings. The month could still go haywire (you like the additional farm reference?), but when one tractor goes into the shop or is waiting on parts, the other tractors need to produce more. They have done that. Last month this time, I didn’t know what the Precision tractor would produce. Now, I do. I like the way it harvests the fields!
