The FOREX Training

During the “we are looking at you to see if you are a fit” phone call, I was made to believe I was special to have been allowed to be a part of their organization. It didn’t take long to realize I was one of many being plugged into an existing structure. The videos, the tools, and the live training would be taking place whether I was there or not. Did I overpay for this FOREX educational opportunity? It may not have been the cheapest, but since the credit card was already straining under its weight, I needed to get started.

This program is set up to take 8 weeks. The early weeks involve setting up and getting familiar with the necessary tools (i.e., TradingView, a demo trading account, MT4, etc.) Since I am more than adept with computers, I impressed even myself during these early weeks. Once I started seeing videos with “candles” (candles are how the movement. of money is tracked on the charts. It can be on various time frames.) randomly traveling across my display, I knew it wasn’t computer skills I would rely on going forward.

As I discovered during the “interview” and on training videos, many people in this program were not NEW to FOREX. They used different strategies and different gurus to find the right catalyst for them to start their “profitable future.” These tools and “pairs” (i.e., EURUSD, AUDCAD, etc) were a new reality. Many of my peers were not peers. They may have started when I started. Yet, they had eyes and instincts I was only starting to hone. The journey to my personal profitability became longer during those weeks of heavy “candle training.”

As I watched extra videos and reviewed my FOREX pairs, I eventually developed some comfort. The comfort was false, as I found out when I began demo trading.
