Just received an email from Google. Every indication was it was legitimate, but I am really curious what the purpose of using a false email was for trying to set up a Google Adwords campaign.

We wanted to alert you that one or more of your ads or keywords have been disapproved. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to show your ads on Google, our search partners, or on Display Network placements until you edit your ads or keywords to make them compliant with our policies.
If this is an error, we want to get your ads back up and running as quickly as possible, and your Google team is here to help. Below you’ll find the reason why your ads or keywords have been disapproved. At the end of this email, you’ll find a Problem Report that includes details about which ads or keywords have been disapproved and what you can do to fix them (if possible).

Disapproval Reason

Weapons – Keyword: We want to help keep people safe both online and offline, so we don’t allow the promotion of some products or services that cause damage, harm, or injury. For this reason, we don’t allow the promotion of products that are designed to injure an opponent in sport, self-defense, or combat. Some examples include throwing stars, brass knuckles, and crossbows.

Someone is likely not getting the feedback they so desperately need to set up the Adwords campaign to make their website as successful as it deserves to be….or, I am missing something. I am being duped by someone so sly I cannot even fathom it!
